ABOUT

Meet Heidi Herman

PT, MPT, CIMT, Cert. DN, CIDN
Founder of Root to Rise Physical Therapy

Healing isn’t just about relieving pain‒it’s about restoring confidence,
movement, and the freedom to live the life you love.

I’m Heidi Herman, a licensed practicing physical therapist with more than 20 years of experience helping people overcome pain and return to the activities that matter most. Throughout my career, I’ve earned advanced certifications in Integrative Manual Therapy, Dry Needling, Manual Therapy, and Movement Restoration but what matters most is helping each person discover the root cause of their pain so we can create lasting change.
After years of working within the traditional insurance-based healthcare model, I realized something was missing. Too often, appointments were rushed, symptoms were treated instead of causes, and patients were left feeling unheard and unseen. I founded Root to Rise Physical Therapy to create something different.
At Root to Rise, you receive one-on-one care for your entire session. Every evaluation and treatment is individualized because no two people‒or two injuries‒are the same. My goal is to uncover the root cause of your pain, improve the way your body moves, and help you regain strength, confidence, and resilience for the long term.
I believe healing happens when we treat the whole person, not just the injured body part. Whether you’re recovering from an injury, struggling with chronic pain, preparing for surgery, returning to sport, or simply wanting to move through life without limitations, I’ll partner with you every step of the way.

My Approach

At Root to Rise, treatment combines:

Hands-on manual therapy

Dry needling when appropriate

Movement assessment and corrective exercise

Injury Prevention and performance optimization

Education and empowerment so you understand your body and can stay healthy long after treatment ends.

My mission is simple: help you move better, feel stronger, and live without unnecessary pain.

Beyond the Clinic

Outside the clinic, I enjoy hiking, traveling, spending time with my two sons, family, and close friends, and continuing to grow through lifelong learning. I believe life is a lifelong journey, and that same curiosity, compassion, and resilience shape the care I provide every day.
Helping others heal‒physically, emotionally, and spiritually‒isn’t just my profession. It’s my purpose.
I look forward to helping you rise from pain and return to the life you love.
